About the Author
Deborah Marshall Ronander spent much of her childhood in South Africa after moving there from England with her family in the early 1980s. Growing up beneath vast African skies and surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, she developed a vivid imagination and a deep love of storytelling from an early age.
Her childhood was anything but ordinary. She spent her days exploring the South African veld, riding wild donkeys and immersing herself in nature. As a teenager, she worked as a game guide and lounge singer, experiences that introduced her to a fascinating array of people, stories and adventures that continue to influence her writing today.
Although Deborah has been writing since her teens, dyslexia and a lack of confidence prevented her from sharing her work with the world for many years. The stories never stopped coming, however, and after decades of writing for herself, she finally found the courage to publish.
In 2008, Deborah returned to the United Kingdom with her husband, Garnet, and their two sons, hoping to build new opportunities and a brighter future for their family. She now lives in Cheshire, England, where she continues to write while balancing family life, work and her passion for storytelling.
Deborah is the proud wife of Garnet, mother of two sons and adoptive mother of a daughter. Having lost both of her parents, she writes with a deep understanding of grief, resilience, love and the complexities of human relationships. Her stories explore the emotions that connect us, the secrets that shape us and the unexpected twists that can change the course of a life.
Long Lost is Deborah’s first completed novel, although many more stories are already waiting to be told. She loves crafting emotional journeys filled with mystery, surprises and unforgettable characters, driven by the belief that even the most unexpected paths can lead us back to what matters most.
